The sewer line is easy to overlook when you’re walking through a house. A sewer scope uses a camera to view the inside of the accessible line and look for visible concerns that deserve further attention.
What the camera can help reveal
Depending on access and visibility, a sewer scope may show roots, buildup, damaged pipe, or other conditions in the portion of the line reached by the camera.
Understand the limits
A blockage or other obstruction may prevent a complete inspection. I’ll explain what was and was not evaluated and when a plumber’s evaluation is recommended.

Is this included in a home inspection?
A sewer scope is a separate service. Ask to include it when requesting your appointment so we can discuss access and the fee.
Is it only for older homes?
No. The age of a home alone does not establish the condition of its sewer line. We can discuss whether a scope makes sense for the property.
